About The Position

Requirements

• Previous ServSafe certificate required.
• Previous TABC certificate required.
• Previous Food Handler's certificate required.
• Ability to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet dining room guests and take food and beverage orders according to established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up with guests to address additional needs or requests.
• Understand menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations, accommodate reasonable requests, and note preferences.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Communicate effectively and patiently with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
• Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information or complaints to the supervisor.
• Set up the dining room before service and restore it afterward, keeping the area clean and meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
