WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)
About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring full-time and part-time Waiters/Waitresses at Brightmore of South Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. Servers greet guests, take orders, deliver food, respond to requests, and help ensure a positive dining experience while following food-safety and sanitation standards. The role also involves maintaining a clean and properly prepared dining area, handling tickets and cash, communicating with kitchen staff and other departments, and promptly escalating guest concerns to a supervisor. Serving or customer service experience is preferred, but the employer is willing to train. The listed pay range is $16.00 to $17.00 per hour. Schedules are full-time or part-time, with the dining operation open seven days a week; days and hours may vary and further details are provided during the interview.

Responsibilities
- Greet dining room guests promptly and warmly, take food and beverage orders efficiently, and follow established service steps.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food-handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow up with guests and assist with additional needs or requests.
- Understand menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations when requested, accommodate reasonable requests, and note preferences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Communicate effectively and patiently with guests and staff, and work well with others.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Handle personal or medical information with sensitivity and confidentiality.
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information or complaints to a supervisor.
- Set up the dining room before service, maintain it during service, and clean and reset it afterward according to sanitation standards.
- Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
