WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL AND PART TIME)
About The Position
Unidine is hiring full-time and part-time Waiters/Waitresses at Inland Christian Home in Ontario, California. The role takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The listed pay range is $17.50 to $18.00 per hour. The position includes greeting guests, taking and delivering orders, helping guests with menu choices and reasonable requests, coordinating with back-of-house staff, handling tickets and cash, and maintaining a clean, safe dining area. The position also supports special events and performs other assigned duties. Full-time and part-time associates receive a selection of benefits; additional benefits are available to full-time associates.
Requirements
- No prior experience is required; willingness to train.

Responsibilities
- Promptly and warmly greet dining room guests and take food and beverage orders efficiently while following established service steps.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally, follow food handling and sanitation standards, and check in with guests about additional needs or requests.
- Understand menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations when asked, accommodate reasonable requests, and note preferences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Communicate effectively and patiently with guests and staff, and work well with others.
- Collect tickets and follow cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information or complaints to a supervisor.
- Set up the dining room before service and restore it afterward, keeping the area clean and meeting sanitation standards.
- Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
