About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring full-time and part-time Waiters/Waitresses at Brightmore of South Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. Associates greet guests, follow established service steps, deliver food professionally, address additional needs, and provide information about menu items, food-and-drink combinations, specialized diets, and allergens as needed. They coordinate with back-of-house staff to ensure orders and special requests are handled correctly, maintain a clean and safe dining environment, handle tickets and cash according to procedures, and communicate concerns to a supervisor. The role also involves setting up and cleaning the dining room, using dining-service equipment, and assisting other departments during special events and functions. Serving or customer service experience is preferred, and training is available. The schedule includes full-time and part-time options; the location is open seven days a week, and days and hours may vary. Pay is $16.00–$17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Promptly and warmly greet dining room guests and take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow up with guests to assist with additional needs or requests.
- Understand menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink combinations when requested and accommodate reasonable requests and preferences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Communicate effectively and patiently with guests and staff, and work well with others.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information or complaints to a supervisor.
- Set up the dining room before service and clean and maintain it afterward in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
