Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring a veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care in Anaheim and surrounding California communities. The privately and family-owned organization emphasizes professional independence, meaningful medicine, and support from a team that coordinates appointments, families, and aftercare. Hospice experience is not required; the company says it will support veterinarians transitioning into this field. Opportunities are available on two-, three-, four-, and five-day schedules, including self-managed flexible scheduling. Compensation is prorated for agreed schedules; four-day positions start at $120,000 annually and five-day positions offer a $145,000 annual base salary, with additional quarterly performance-based bonus opportunities. Requirements

  • DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree.
  • Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Compassion and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
  • Availability consistent with the position's schedule, including some weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospice experience is not required; support is offered to veterinarians transitioning into the field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home hospice care for pets.
