About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring a veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care to pets and their families in Salt Lake City, Herriman, Utah, and surrounding areas. The privately and family-owned organization emphasizes professional independence, meaningful medicine, and support from a dedicated team that coordinates appointments, families, and aftercare. Hospice experience is not required, and support is provided during the transition into this field. The role is available on two-, three-, four-, or five-day schedules, including self-managed flexible scheduling, with compensation adjusted for the agreed-upon schedule. Four-day positions start at $110,000 annually, and five-day positions offer a $135,000 annual base salary, with additional quarterly performance-based bonus opportunities. Requirements
- DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree.
- Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
- Valid driver's license.
- Compassionate approach and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
- Availability consistent with the position's schedule, including some weekends.
