About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring a mobile veterinarian to provide in-home hospice and peaceful euthanasia care to pets and their families in Melbourne, Titusville, Florida, and surrounding communities. The privately and family-owned organization emphasizes professional independence, compassionate end-of-life medicine, and support from a team that coordinates appointments, families, and aftercare. Hospice experience is not required; support is provided during the transition into this field. The role is available in full-time and part-time schedules, including 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-day opportunities and self-managed flexible scheduling. Compensation is prorated for schedules agreed upon for two- and three-day or self-managed flex positions. Four-day positions start at $90,000 annually, and five-day positions offer a $105,000 annual base salary, with additional quarterly performance-based bonus opportunities. Benefits vary by position and eligibility.

Requirements

DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree.
Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
Valid driver's license.
Compassion and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
Availability consistent with the position's schedule, including some weekends.

Responsibilities
