About The Position

Requirements

• For a Primary or Religion Teaching position, the candidate must be Catholic.
• Qualifications as a four-year-trained teacher.
• Active NESA Accreditation.
• Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
• Completion of anaphylaxis training.
• Completion of CPR training.
• Ability to plan contemporary, compliant teaching programs and assessments that address diverse student needs and learning styles.
• Demonstrated ability to use assessment and relevant school data effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with school staff and members of the wider community.
• Ability to demonstrate an innovative and agile mindset supporting continuous improvement.
• Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and personal commitment to Catholic Education and actively support the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.

Responsibilities

• Support students’ academic and spiritual growth and invite students and families into a faith-filled educational experience.
• Promote the school as a place of learning and excellence, nurturing creativity, curiosity, deep learning, and engagement with the world.
• Differentiate learning according to students’ educational needs, abilities, and learning styles.
• Plan and prepare contemporary, compliant teaching programs and assessments that encourage students to reach their potential.
• Use assessment and relevant school data to optimise educational and organisational outcomes.
• Develop and implement pedagogical practices informed by contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles, including digital learning.
• Collaborate with school staff and the wider community to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.
• Work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and support the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.
