Lead Teacher Free Child Care
About The Position
The Lead Teacher coordinates the daily operations of an assigned class and plans, presents, and evaluates educational and recreational activities in a safe childcare environment. The role works directly with children and parents to provide quality customer service, shares children’s daily experiences and achievements with families, and collaborates with other teachers to develop engaging curricula based on children’s interests. Teachers receive support from school directors, including planning and resource time, and are expected to maintain a supportive, professional classroom environment.
Requirements
- Successfully completed state-required pre-service training.
- Develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with handling children, facilitating programs, ensuring child safety, and potential emergency situations.
- For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
- 1–2 years of previous experience.
