About The Position
Sage Connections, a woman- and therapist-owned company, is seeking a full-time W-2 Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves providing K–12 school-based services, with multiple positions available for the Elementary School age range. The company is committed to supporting special educators, valuing their skills, and prioritizing their well-being. Whether you are experienced or new to the field, you will be part of a supportive team that understands the challenges and rewards of this profession.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education or relevant area (Exceptional Child Certificate)
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting all learners
Nice To Haves
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet diverse learning needs
- Participate and lead IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families
