About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s musical development and enjoyment. The role emphasizes a positive customer experience and a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will work with the store Lessons Lead and partner with students and their families through regular communication about goals and progress. You may also assist with customer service as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach the instrument in which the candidate is proficient: bass and guitar.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Share students’ goals and progress frequently with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
