About The Position

Guitar Center is hiring a part-time Music Teacher at Store 826 in Mays Landing, New Jersey. The teacher gives music lessons using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum and helps students continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music. Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the instrument or area to be taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and their families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
Share student goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
