About The Position

Guitar Center Music Teachers teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. They help grow and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s musical development and enjoyment. The role also involves providing a positive customer experience and nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. Teachers communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and share progress toward students’ goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Share student goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
