About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student count while supporting each student's growth and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provides an excellent Customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which you are proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area you will be teaching.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on the needs of the community.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents' knowledge of their child.
- Share each student's progress and goals with the student and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
