About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager is the Store Manager's right hand — a hands-on leader who keeps daily operations running smoothly, coaches and develops the team, and ensures every customer leaves happier than when they walked in. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves building great teams, and takes pride in operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant management role, ideally in food & beverage or retail
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort with POS systems, basic inventory management, and cash handling
  • A genuine passion for health, wellness, and great customer service
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays, not including Christmas or Thanksgiving
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [25–40] lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a juice bar, café, or specialty beverage concept
  • Familiarity with food cost management and labor scheduling tools

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of juice bar associates during shifts
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage during peak hours
  • Step in to resolve team conflicts and provide real-time feedback and recognition
  • Open and close the store, including cash handling and POS reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • Monitor and manage inventory — ordering, receiving, and reducing waste
  • Maintain equipment (blenders, cold-press machines, refrigeration units) and coordinate repairs as needed
  • Uphold visual merchandising and store cleanliness standards
  • Lead by example in delivering fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
  • Support promotional launches, loyalty programs, and community events
  • Help drive sales goals, average ticket size, and speed-of-service targets
  • Track and report on daily/weekly KPIs (sales, labor cost, waste, inventory variance)
  • Support the Store Manager in executing store-level action plans and initiatives
