About The Position
Harrington Bottling Company is seeking a driven Route Sales Representative to join their team and help expand their presence across retail and grocery accounts. This role involves overseeing an established sales territory, promoting a portfolio of nationally recognized beverage brands to grocery stores, convenience stores, and other retail customers. The representative will serve as the primary contact for accounts, helping customers maximize product sales through effective ordering, merchandising, promotional execution, and inventory management. Utilizing a company vehicle and mobile sales technology, the role requires managing daily customer visits, placing product orders, monitoring inventory levels, and identifying opportunities to increase sales volume and market share. This position blends sales, account management, merchandising, and customer service in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license and good driving record
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Basic technology skills and comfort using tablets or mobile applications
- The ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities efficiently
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in route sales, outside sales, retail sales, beverage distribution, food service sales, account management, merchandising, or business development is beneficial but not required.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail customers while managing a dedicated sales route.
- Develop existing accounts, identify growth opportunities, present new products and promotions, place and review customer orders, and ensure products are properly displayed and merchandised.
- Support in-store marketing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate sales records.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while representing Harrington Bottling and Pepsi brands in the marketplace.
