About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Human Resources) or equivalent work experience the poultry industry.
• 5-10 years of prior poultry management work experience
• Extensive knowledge of Poultry management to include, the care and nutritional needs of chickens.
• Must have an understanding of the operation and maintenance of the equipment used in egg production and egg processing.
• Must have an understanding of the maintenance needs of barns, mills, tractors, vehicles in an agricultural environment.
• Must understand Bio-Security needs in a poultry environment and the protection of the flocks from disease.
• Must have an understanding of the preferred Animal Welfare practices in the industry.
• Strong communications skills.
• Team building skills
• Ability to manage several projects at the same time.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to follow and enforce Company policies and procedures in a consistent manner.
• Manage a budget in order to manage the farm in a cost efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Manages policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures.
• Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
• Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
• Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
• Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
• Balances work cell capacity/loading across the plant.
• Manages compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
