About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Pinckneyville Correctional Center in Pinckneyville, IL. This role involves providing holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients. The RN will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address patient needs. Assignments will be restricted to one location at a time, with opportunities throughout the state of Illinois based on contract needs. Travel RNs are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.
Requirements
- Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Illinois
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
- Must be 90+ miles from the selected facility
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.
- Working between various facilities/locations throughout the state of Illinois, per contract needs.
