Registered Nurse II - Emergency Dept (PRN) - Camden
About The Position
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed care to patients and families at the competent level, applying the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The position is in the Emergency Department at the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) in Camden. This PRN role involves 12-hour shifts, either 7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m. The stated schedule is 24–48 hours per six-week schedule, depending on the selected tier. Work may include rotating shifts and overtime as required.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or a recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Ability to perform the listed physical and mental job functions, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and dealing effectively with stressful situations.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
