About The Position

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. The hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The RN works each shift with a Nursing Assistant and manages a manageable caseload, helping patients progress toward the goals and milestones in their individualized care plans. The position is scheduled for days, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., including weekday and weekend shifts. Compensation is $46.00–$61.93 per hour based on experience, plus shift differential. Requirements

Valid state RN license.
BLS certification required at hire.

BSN or enrollment in a BSN program.
Clinical experience.

Responsibilities

Receive patient admissions and/or transfers.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Document care accurately and promptly using EPIC.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Promote continuous quality improvement.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Partner with a Nursing Assistant to support patients in achieving the goals and milestones in their care plans.
