About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care to patients during vulnerable and difficult moments. The position is at Select Specialty Hospital Vic Village in Columbus, Ohio. It is full-time, working 12-hour day shifts. Compensation is $37.90 to $51.00 per hour, based on experience, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification is required at hire.
ACLS certification is required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Document patient information accurately and promptly using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
