About The Position

Requirements

• Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
• A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
• Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
• Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
• Must have good communication skills; 10-key calculator and keyboard skills required.
• This position requires approximately 30% travel time.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and evaluates information on mortgage loan documents to determine if buyer, property, and loan conditions meet bank and regulatory standards.
• Approves or rejects loan application, or requests additional information.
• Establishes terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews with member.
• Markets the Credit Union's mortgage lending program to companies and individuals within the real estate community.
• Cross-sells other Credit Union services.
• Supervises and manages the work and productivity of the department specialist(s)
• Evaluates acceptability of loan on secondary mortgage markets.
• Keeps informed of current trends in mortgage lending and market factors affecting mortgage lending.
• Other duties as assigned.
