About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field; an associate degree, high school diploma, or equivalent may also qualify.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience performing Environmental Monitoring in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, preferably associated with aseptic production; the experience requirement may vary based on educational qualifications.
• Demonstrated ability to perform environmental monitoring techniques, including viable surface monitoring, viable and non-viable air monitoring, compressed air monitoring, and water and clean steam collection and analysis.
• Experience with cGMP requirements and regulatory compliance in a cGMP manufacturing facility.
• Authorization to work full-time in the United States; Lilly will not support or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%.
• Ability to work a night shift and adjust the schedule as needed to support qualification and ongoing operation of the area.

Responsibilities

• Execute work processes consistently and accurately in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
• Use, maintain, and calibrate environmental monitoring equipment to ensure operational readiness and accurate results.
• Support process improvement initiatives and complex troubleshooting efforts related to manufacturing and quality issues.
• Use aseptic sampling techniques and maintain sterile conditions during environmental monitoring activities.
• Perform routine quality checks on collected samples and initiate repeat sampling or escalation when necessary.
• Collect environmental samples from manufacturing and regulated areas to monitor microbial and particulate contamination.
• Record and review monitoring data to support routine quality decisions and uphold data integrity.
• Provide timely and accurate environmental monitoring data to support quality verification and batch release decisions.
• Follow safety and environmental guidelines to protect colleagues and work environments.
