About The Position

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• Medical assistant education and training.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and interviewing patients
• Accurately measuring and documenting vital signs
• Preparing examination rooms
• Assisting with treatments as directed and supervised by the providers
• Performing select clinical duties
• Providing essential administrative support, including managing patient records, answering calls, and handling necessary charting
• Documenting provider-patient encounters, meticulously listing diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions
• Transcribing patient orders for lab work, testing, and medications
