Service Technician I (Make-Ready)

About The Position
We are seeking a Service Technician I for a 168-unit apartment community in Shreveport, Louisiana. The role prepares vacant units for new residents and handles the general upkeep of property grounds and common areas. The position offers an energetic, team-oriented environment and opportunities to advance. The hourly rate is $16.00–$17.00, and monthly renewal bonuses are paid in addition to base pay. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Work days are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Weekend work may be needed as circumstances warrant, and the position participates in a weekly on-call rotation for emergencies. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license in Louisiana or a neighboring state in proximity to the property. The application process includes criminal background checks and drug screens.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of previous maintenance experience in an apartment community, commercial building, or single-family residence.
- Meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
- Valid driver’s license in Louisiana or a neighboring state in proximity to the property.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance.
- Complete a duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.
- Walk property grounds and common areas and pick up trash and debris.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Community Manager and/or Service Supervisor.
