About The Position

The Make Ready Technician performs a wide variety of repairs to ensure apartment homes meet standards before new residents move in. The role includes inspecting apartments, completing repairs and work orders, and estimating materials and costs. This is a full-time position at Riata, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9 AM to 6 PM. The initial pay range is $19.00–$22.00 per hour, based on location and experience. Eligible team members receive monthly bonuses.

Requirements

• Experience in residential, commercial, retail, or apartment rehabilitation/turns is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect apartments for damage and perform necessary repairs before resident move-ins.
• Repair or replace plumbing, sink, shower, and toilet fixtures.
• Repair or replace electrical fixtures and switches.
• Prime, paint, and seal surfaces, including wood or metal.
• Replace doors, doorknobs, and lock systems.
• Caulk, plaster, and fill cracks, holes, or joints.
• Wash and treat surfaces.
• Remove mildew.
• Sand surfaces and adhere finishes.
• Complete various work orders as needed.
• Calculate required materials and estimate costs.
