About The Position

The Make Ready Technician performs grounds and housekeeping services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality apartment homes, and responds to related service requests. The role works under the direction of the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.

The technician performs preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, janitorial services, and apartment refurbishing and renovation according to company standards. The role also includes walking the property daily, maintaining accurate task records, supporting the maintenance storage area, and reporting safety concerns. In the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence, the technician carries out maintenance responsibilities that may include scheduling staff and vendors, ordering supplies, and coordinating with the Community Manager on improvements.

Requirements

• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation for essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is highly preferred.
• Prior custodial, housekeeping, or apartment experience is preferred.
• Computer proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services.
• Assist with maintaining the storage area and maintenance materials.
• Refurbish and renovate apartments according to company standards.
• Walk the property daily to check curb appeal and apartment quality.
• Notify the Community Manager of safety concerns and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of property-specific issues, such as asbestos.
• Keep accurate records of completed tasks.
• Complete service requests in accordance with company standards.
• In the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence, carry out maintenance responsibilities, including scheduling staff and vendors, ordering supplies, and working with the Community Manager on necessary improvements.
• Perform other duties as required.
