About The Position

The Make Ready Technician at Hilltop Residential’s Plaza at San Jacinto inspects vacated apartments and completes make-ready work to Hilltop Residential standards. The role also completes assigned work orders, supports building and common-area maintenance, assists with preventive maintenance and property equipment upkeep, and helps keep the grounds neat and free of litter. The technician must be able to paint. The position includes a flexible schedule, including weekends, and rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies. Hilltop Residential may consider helping a selected candidate obtain an EPA Universal or HVAC certification at an appropriate time.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on general maintenance experience.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to paint.

Nice To Haves

• EPA license is a plus.
• EPA Universal or HVAC certification is recommended; Hilltop Residential may consider helping a selected candidate obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete make-ready checklists.
• Complete make-ready work to Hilltop Residential standards.
• Complete assigned work orders and ensure compliance with Hilltop Residential standards.
• Assist with building and common-area maintenance.
• Inspect vacant apartments for damage to walls, doors, blinds, lights, and plumbing fixtures.
• Assist with the preventive maintenance program and maintain property equipment.
• Paint.
• Help keep grounds neat and free of litter.
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage for after-hours emergencies.
