About The Position

The Make Ready Technician performs grounds and housekeeping services to maintain excellent curb appeal and the quality of apartment homes, and responds to related service requests. The role works under the direction of the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. In the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence, the technician carries out maintenance aspects of the community, including scheduling staff and vendors, ordering supplies, and coordinating with the Community Manager on improvements.

Requirements

• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation for essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior custodial, housekeeping, or apartment experience.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with maintaining the storage area and maintenance materials.
• Refurbish and renovate apartments according to company standards.
• Walk the property daily to check curb appeal and apartment quality.
• Notify the Community Manager of safety concerns and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of property-specific problems, such as asbestos.
• Keep accurate records of completed tasks.
• Complete service requests according to company standards.
• In the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence, handle community maintenance responsibilities, including scheduling staff and vendors, ordering supplies, and working with the Community Manager on improvements.
• Perform other duties as required.
