About The Position

Requirements

• License to sell life insurance products required (LLQP)
• 2–3 years of experience in a customer service/insurance role.
• Proven experience/knowledge of life insurance products.
• Proven experience/knowledge of investment products.
• Proven experience/skill in conflict/negotiation.
• Ability to build and maintain effective, professional relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Creative and technical skills, problem-solving ability, and strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Preference for individuals with a post-secondary education degree/diploma.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with agents to promote products, tools, and services through calls and emails; establish rapport and build relationships with the agent network.
• Provide support to agents with product inquiries, insurance quotes, software inquiries, and marketing material questions.
• Communicate directly with existing customers to explain and execute features and options of their current life insurance plans.
• Understand and complete the entire sales process while remaining compliant.
• Use a database to track calls: who was contacted, what was discussed, and when to follow up.
• Become an expert on all offerings to communicate and promote Wawanesa Life products throughout all sales channels.
• Onboard new agents, including training.
• Become familiar with marketing materials: brochures, posters, flyers, bulletins, memos, product guides, PowerPoint presentations, broker software.
• Learn underwriting and new business to assist agents in soliciting business and to complete own sales.
• Assist with general department office needs, perform other duties as assigned, cover other desks during absences, complete reports, and assist supervisors.
