About The Position

Requirements

• Knowledge of records management, government operations and office practices, policies and procedures.
• Skill in communicating and interacting with supervisors, elected officials, members of the general public and all other groups involved in the activities of the City in response to specific requests.
• Ability to operate a computer terminal and related computer workstations, scanners and printing equipment.
• Ability to prepare court documents and written reports in a concise, clear and effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Operates a computer, printer, optical scanner etc., to enter, store and retrieve data to prepare and produce reports, compose routine correspondence and disseminate information to others on the system.
• Helps other divisions within the court with their data entry and information processing problems.
• Reviews computer software, screens workflow proposals and makes recommendations.
• Answers the telephone; provides information; takes and relays messages and/or directs calls to appropriate personnel; returns calls as necessary.
• Cooperates with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and its officers or representatives when their activities or investigations are related to on-going investigations being conducted within the City of Atlanta; works to achieve the highest level of cooperation and efficiency possible.
