About The Position

Requirements

• 10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; 8 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree in a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 14 years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a Project Controller.
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience is required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft Office suite, and working knowledge of relevant software applications.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos Reporting.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with government contracts.
• Experience with Unanet or Deltek Cobra.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, attention to detail, strong communication and presentation skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up cost control systems and monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system.
• Analyze contract performance and prepare reports to ensure contracts remain within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines.
• Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work.
• Perform or assist with financial analyses, including funding profiles, sales outlooks, and variance analyses.
• Prepare program plans that capture and schedule program requirements and statements of work.
• Conduct schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
• Maintain accurate expenditure records, direct preparation of expenditure projections, and submit timely requests to the government for additional funding.
• Incorporate contractual changes into control systems and monitor outstanding contract work to maintain realistic cost and schedule baselines.
• Develop and maintain forecasts, Estimates at Completion (EACs), funding profiles, and program baselines.
• Track labor, material, and subcontractor costs and support EVMS reporting and performance measurement deliverables.
• Support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), surveillance reviews, audits, and customer reporting.
• Identify risks, recommend corrective actions, manage contract modifications, and provide financial and performance reporting to program leadership and customers.
