About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• On-the-job training required.
• Follow specific directions.
• Perform varied duties that may change while working within standards of accuracy.
• Repeat short-duration tasks according to established procedures.
• Evaluate information using measurable standards.
• Stand or walk for long periods.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
• Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
• Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects while carrying tools and equipment.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Have natural or corrected vision.

Responsibilities

• Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel using a pick and shovel.
• Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials using hand tools.
• Join, wrap, and seal sections of pipe.
• Perform routine tasks such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, and placing culvert sections in trenches.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
