Construction Laborer – Travel Required
About The Position
COMANCO is hiring full-time Construction Laborers to work at construction sites in different states. The company provides training for candidates who are willing to learn plastic-liner welding, work hard and safely, respect coworkers, and travel. The role involves placing and securing geosynthetic and insulating materials, cutting and sealing material, preparing surfaces, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Travel accommodations include hotel or motel lodging, daily per diem, and transportation. Candidates must pass a post-offer drug test and physical agility exam.
Requirements
- Willing and able to perform physical work in field conditions.
- Construction or manufacturing experience.
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to local jobs.
- Willingness to travel and stay on the road for extended periods.
- Must pass a post-offer drug test and physical agility exam.
Responsibilities
- Place geosynthetic and insulating material on the ground using clamps to pull and position rolls.
- Fill, lift (50+ lbs), and place sandbags to prevent insulating material from moving.
- Cut excess insulating material using a knife.
- Seal insulating-material borders using heat-producing machines and/or sewing.
- Grind, sand, or polish surfaces.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment by picking up trash and construction debris.
