About The Position
Penn Line Service, Inc. is hiring a Construction Laborer for roadside crews that install and repair guiderail. Work is located primarily throughout West Virginia and Maryland, with possible overnight stays out of town. The work schedule varies, and applicants must be available for overtime and rain make-up days. The company is a multi-state specialty contractor based in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, specializing in guide rail, fencing, seeding, and land reclamation.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be legally permitted to drive.
- Must have a clean driving record; moving violations and accidents will be reviewed through a Motor Vehicle Record report.
- Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds throughout the day.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be available to work overtime and rain make-up days.
- Must be able to stay out of town overnight if required.
Nice To Haves
- A Class A or Class B commercial driver license (CDL) is preferred but not required. Assistance may be available to applicants who need to obtain a CDL.
Responsibilities
- Unload and load materials.
- Align, secure, and lay out guide rail material.
- Perform traffic control duties.
- Complete other varied roadside construction tasks.
