About The Position

Skillforce is hiring Construction Laborers for an ongoing commercial construction project in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The role supports carpenters, plumbers, and electricians on an active jobsite by assisting with material handling, layout support, and daily project tasks. The position pays $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on commercial construction experience. Employment is W-2, with weekly pay by direct deposit.

The schedule is Monday through Friday on the day shift, with overtime available as required by the project schedule. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage available, paid time off, paid holidays, a 401(k), and a referral bonus program.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience working on commercial construction sites.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the jobsite each day.
• Bring basic hand tools and personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, boots, and vest.
• Dependable and punctual, and comfortable taking direction from the tradesmen being supported.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead tradesmen with material handling, layout support, and daily project tasks.
• Use hand and power tools to help assemble, install, and repair materials.
• Perform demolition, stage materials, load and unload deliveries, and store equipment across the jobsite.
• Keep work areas, walkways, and laydown areas clean and clear.
• Read basic blueprints and take accurate measurements and cuts when needed.
