Construction Laborer
About The Position
Skillforce is hiring Construction Laborers for an ongoing commercial construction project in Sandston, Virginia. The role supports carpenters, plumbers, and electricians on an active jobsite. Pay is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on commercial construction experience. This is W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit. The schedule is Monday through Friday on day shift, with overtime available as the project schedule requires. Applicants should have at least one year of commercial construction experience and provide their own basic hand tools and personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience working on commercial construction sites.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the jobsite each day.
- Provide basic hand tools and personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, boots, and vest.
- Dependable and punctual, and comfortable taking direction from the tradesmen being supported.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead tradesmen with material handling, layout support, and daily project tasks.
- Use hand and power tools to help assemble, install, and repair materials.
- Perform demolition, stage materials, load and unload deliveries, and store equipment across the jobsite.
- Keep work areas, walkways, and laydown areas clean and clear.
- Read basic blueprints and take accurate measurements and cuts when needed.
