About The Position

Requirements

• Hold a current nursing assistant license (CNA) in the state of Florida.
• Have current CPR certification or obtain it upon hire.
• Be able to read, follow written instructions, and document services provided.
• Be self-directed and able to work with little direct supervision.
• Be kind, reliable, and compassionate.
• Have availability for 12-hour shifts and weekends.
• Pass a Level II background check.

Nice To Haves

• One year of CNA experience is preferred; previous experience is not required.
• Current first aid certification is a plus.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to residents.
• Assist residents with hygiene needs, including feeding, bathing, and dressing.
• Measure and record residents’ temperatures and blood pressures.
• Observe and record residents’ reactions to medications and treatment.
• Participate in organizing and prioritizing residents’ and unit activities.
• Follow a plan of care established by an RN or LPN.
• Report pertinent information to an RN or LPN.
• Properly document residents’ daily activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Exhibit empathy, dignity, respect, and concern for residents’ well-being.
• Depending on assignment, provide services such as shower assistance, shopping, medication reminders, and light housekeeping, including laundry.
