About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Typically, 3 or more years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities appropriate for the role.
• Customer-focused approach, using customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in business decisions and customer solutions.
• Ability to assess and effectively manage risks in support of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Nice To Haves

• Application support and production operations experience for enterprise payment or financial systems, or other enterprise critical systems supporting customer activities.
• Technical leadership qualities.
• Skills in Agile methodology, application software support, applications support, cloud computing, code reviews, debugging, DevOps, payments domain, project management, requirements analysis, software development, system designs, and technical designs.
• Competencies in application delivery process, application design, architecture, application development tools, application testing, packaged application integration, system development life cycle, and technical troubleshooting.
• Certifications are often desired; no specific certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions.
• Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs.
• Prepare required technical and procedural documentation.
• Facilitate complex problem resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues.
• Review software coding, testing, and documentation.
• Apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
• Support and improve critical payment-processing services and associated security controls.
• Partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, and operational stakeholders to maintain platform stability, remediate risks, manage privileged-account compliance, investigate incidents, and drive service improvements.
• Support governance activities related to privileged access management, account discovery, compliance remediation, and secure operational practices.
• Assess and effectively manage risks associated with business objectives and activities in alignment with PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
• Support critical systems issues during off hours as needed in the 24/7 Site Reliability Center operation.
