About The Position

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preferred Associate degree or two or more years of college-level coursework. Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Emergency Behavior Intervention are also required. The position involves supporting various administrative functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining accurate records, processing requisitions, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The role also includes participating in meetings, working evenings/weekends/holidays as needed, implementing safety protocols, and maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • 2 plus years related experience and/or training.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
  • Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
  • Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
  • Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio- economic characteristics.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain control and professional composure at all times.
  • Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
  • Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
  • Ensure proper National School Lunch Program data is collected and communicated to the National School Lunch Program Director in a timely manner.
  • Accurately maintain employee monthly monitoring accountability reports.
  • Submit timely and accurate Discharge Data and Detail Release reports.
  • Process requisitions and purchase orders on a timely basis and using agency systems created for this purpose.
  • Submit variance requests on a child’s length of stay to State licensing.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally by phone or face-to-face with agency staff, vendors, community members and regulatory and contract staff.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and team decisions and operations.
  • Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by supervisor.
  • Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
  • Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
  • Draft general correspondence, memos, charts, etc. and proof final copies for clarity, spelling, grammar, and layout.
  • Collect, maintain, and retrieve data from files as needed.
  • Maintain and distribute daily census reports for service population.
  • Verify and communicate information from federal entities regarding service population intake and arrival schedule.
  • Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by program and federal partners.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
  • Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.
