About The Position

Performs complex and diverse administrative duties in support of the CCTR Co-Directors and other staff within the center. Will respond to daily inquiries regarding the center, many requiring a broad understanding of center policies and procedures, follow up with issues and escalate issues to CCTR leadership/PI as needed; serve as a liaison to internal and external partners, faculty, and MIT administration; and coordinate communication and regular meetings with partners as requested by CCTR leadership.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of administrative, office or related experience.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proven experience successfully multitasking, organizing single or multiple projects.
  • Ability to work with changing priorities and changing teams, in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to interact effectively across all levels, both internally at MIT and nationally with sponsors and partners.
  • Good judgment, tact, and discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to function effectively both independently and as a team member.
  • MS Office software skills required.
  • Familiarity with web site editing and ability and willingness to learn new programs.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Take ownership for work, following up on all action items, and will deliver high-quality results meeting deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • MIT experience
  • Experience and/or interest in Clinical Research
  • Willingness to complete and maintain CITI training for Biomedical research
  • Willingness to complete and maintain EHS training on biomedical hazardous and other BL2 related training including CPR certification.
