About The Position

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with regular, reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs.
• Proficiency using computers and handheld technology.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors, and to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
• Ability to stand and walk around the facility or department for prolonged periods, up to 12 hours excluding breaks.
• Ability to reach above eye level, crouch, kneel, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50–75 pounds.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Ability to hear and see safety and emergency alarms and Power Industrial Truck warning devices.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cartons and merchandise to and from delivery trucks, conveyor systems, and other equipment.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull packages on a continuous and repetitive basis while sorting and organizing merchandise.
• Complete processing, receiving, and shipping activities on time and in accordance with productivity standards.
• Accurately enter information using PCs, handheld computers, radio frequency equipment, and other devices; learn area-specific warehouse and proprietary systems.
• Perform work safely and promptly report accidents and safety hazards to the safety committee.
• Follow shift-start procedures, including wearing a name badge, following the dress code, attending start-ups, checking the work area, and staying informed about daily goals.
• Work quickly and accurately, handle merchandise with care, and pack customer orders thoughtfully and neatly.
• Foster positive relationships with coworkers by greeting and engaging colleagues, helping new teammates, and supporting others respectfully.
• At the end of the shift, tidy the workstation, return equipment, replenish supplies, and recognize coworkers’ contributions.
• Foster an accepting and respectful environment and build authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
