Warehouse Associate II - 3rd Shift

About The Position

The Warehouse Associate II assists with inbound or outbound warehouse activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. Inbound work includes receiving products; outbound work includes shipping products. The role involves processing orders, using warehouse systems and material handling equipment, maintaining inventory and housekeeping standards, and working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. Training is provided starting on the first day. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. or until completion. The pay rate is $22.90 per hour, including shift differential. The role is not bonus eligible. Overtime may be required with little to no advance notice.

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
Comfort working regularly at heights of 20–30 feet.
Ability to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
Previous material handling equipment (PIT) experience.
Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience.

Responsibilities

Follow established Standard Operating Procedures to process orders, including picking, quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
Follow directions and adjust priorities while working independently or as a team member.
Pick large-case items using material handling equipment or pick small-unit items and place them on designated carts.
Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
Use the Warehouse Management System to check in and/or send out products.
Operate material handling equipment as required by job duties.
Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform routine assignments that require problem resolution.
Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
Follow site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed safety shoes and material handling equipment safety harnesses, and comply with Cardinal Health EHS and QRA policies and procedures.
