About The Position

The Part-time Warehouse Associate supports branch operations by handling products as they enter and leave the facility and managing inventory. The position is based at Fastenal’s branch at 170 Corporate Dr, Reading, PA 19605, and may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. The role includes on-the-job, online, instructor-led classroom, and virtual training to help employees develop the knowledge and skills needed to perform and grow with the company.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a current, full, valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located, including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program, and meet driving record requirements to use a company vehicle as needed.
• Have proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Have proficient computer skills.
• Be able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities.
• Be highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service-oriented.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
• Be able to work independently and in a team environment.

• Be able to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and sometimes up to 75 pounds.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).

• Previous experience receiving, shipping, sorting, or managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain branch inventory.
• Receive, pick, package, ship, and cycle count inventory.
• Make local deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as needed to ensure branch success.
