About The Position

As a Warehouse Colleague, you help create a seamless, customer-focused experience behind the scenes by receiving, storing, picking, packing, sorting, or shipping merchandise. You help ensure items are handled carefully and safely, and keep the warehouse clean, organized, and running smoothly. Your work supports on-time delivery and excellent service while contributing to a positive and respectful workplace. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week; actual hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.

Requirements

• No education or experience required.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, switch between tasks, and work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs.
• Proficiency with computers and handheld technology.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors, and to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
• Ability to stand or walk around the facility or department for extended periods, up to 12 hours excluding breaks.
• Ability to frequently use computers and handheld electronic equipment.
• Ability to reach above eye level, crouch, kneel, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50–75 pounds.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Ability to hear and see safety and emergency alarms and Power Industrial Truck warning devices.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cartons and merchandise from and to delivery trucks, conveyor systems, and other equipment.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull packages on a continuous and repetitive basis.
• Complete processing, receiving, and shipping activities on time and according to productivity standards.
• Accurately enter data using PCs, handheld computers, radio-frequency equipment, and similar devices, and learn area-specific warehouse and proprietary systems.
• Perform job functions safely and promptly report accidents or safety hazards to the safety committee.
• Prepare for each shift by wearing a name badge, following the dress code, attending start-ups, checking that the work area is ready, and staying informed about daily goals and available support.
• Prioritize customers by working quickly and accurately, handling merchandise carefully, and packing customer orders neatly and thoughtfully.
• Build positive relationships with coworkers by greeting them warmly, starting conversations, offering help to new teammates, and supporting colleagues.
• At the end of each shift, tidy the workstation, return equipment to its proper place, replenish supplies, and recognize coworkers' contributions.
• Foster acceptance and respect and build authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
