Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid (MMLA) is seeking a law student intern, preferably for the full academic year, although a fall-semester-only option is available if needed. This is a hybrid position. Most work will be conducted remotely using MMLA-issued laptops and accounts. In-person work will take place at our downtown Minneapolis office and may also occur at community partner locations. This is an excellent opportunity for students who want to gain practical experience while giving back to their communities. MMLA offers all clerks robust training and practical learning opportunities to help build their skills. We are genuinely committed to diversity and value unique identities, experiences, and perspectives. Our mission is equal justice for all. Discrimination and harassment have no place here. We’re building a respectful and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, and it is critical that we incorporate these values into all aspects of our work. We recognize the significant and harmful impact of racism, as well as Minnesota’s racial disparities, on MMLA’s clients and staff. Therefore, we devote special attention to advancing racial justice.
