About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects through project coordination, documentation management, scheduling support, material procurement, and communication with project stakeholders. This role works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and related project management software
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and potential project issues
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and problem-solving ability
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across project teams
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Internship or prior experience in a commercial construction environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily project coordination and administrative support
  • Collect daily reports and project photos and generate weekly project reports for clients, subcontractors, and project teams
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, transmittals, schedules, change orders, and procurement logs through Procore
  • Coordinate and track submittals and shop drawings to ensure timely review and approval by architects and engineers
  • Prepare, submit, and distribute Requests for Information (RFIs) and communicate responses to subcontractors and project stakeholders
  • Assist with material procurement activities, delivery tracking, and forecasting project material needs
  • Support subcontractor and vendor coordination to ensure materials and equipment are released and delivered on schedule
  • Conduct and document pre-work meetings related to project scope, manpower, scheduling, sequencing, and safety requirements
  • Assist with project scheduling updates using Primavera P6 and other scheduling software
  • Support preparation of subcontract scopes, purchase orders, proposed change orders, and subcontractor change orders
  • Assist with project closeout documentation, punch list coordination, and turnover activities
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure all current documents are distributed to stakeholders and uploaded into project management systems
  • Assist with permit coordination and utility coordination activities as directed
  • Participate in jobsite visits and meetings to monitor project progress and support project execution
  • Develop proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and related documentation
  • Maintain professional working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams
