•$73,080 - $146,160

About The Position

The Technical IT Project Manager is the long-term delivery owner for Luminate Heritage, WellBe’s most technical in-house platform. The platform supports changes across the EMR, scheduling platform, and broader ecosystem. The role turns architecture, engineering, and operational dependencies into an executable roadmap, working credibly in code reviews, architecture sessions, and SQL-based investigations. The manager challenges scope and estimates, drives release readiness, and translates technical risks and tradeoffs into clear decisions for leadership. The position owns delivery of the Heritage roadmap, including enhancements, technical debt, stabilization, and modernization. It works closely with developers and architects, coordinates release engineering, investigates production issues, and leads cutover, go-live, and hypercare for platform releases. The role also maintains delivery documentation and metrics, facilitates Scrum and backlog health, and provides clear status, risk, and issue reporting to IT leadership and the Steering Committee. The role has no supervisory responsibility. Work is primarily office-based or remote computer-based, with extended computer use and virtual meetings. Local-to-national travel may be required up to 10% of the time. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer visa sponsorship. Employment is contingent on required drug screening and background checks, including monthly FACIS checks for employees.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow application code and technical designs; write and interpret SQL queries for data and defect investigation; and use logs or monitoring evidence to ask informed questions and validate engineering conclusions.
  • Strong working knowledge of SDLC, Git branching, CI/CD, environment management, APIs, integration patterns, and relational database design.
  • Experience managing shared platforms where one change affects multiple downstream applications.
  • Experience with production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
  • Strong Agile and Scrum delivery experience in Jira and Confluence, including sprint planning and release management.
  • Ability to respectfully challenge engineering estimates and explain complex risks simply to executives.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Visual acuity and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification.
  • Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, A-CSM, or SAFe).

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of the Luminate Heritage roadmap, including enhancements, technical debt, stabilization, and modernization.
  • Work with developers and architects to decompose technical scope, review designs, validate estimates, and sequence work.
  • Build and maintain a dependency map of Heritage interfaces with Luminate 2.0, the scheduling platform, and other systems; assess the technical impact of changes.
  • Coordinate release engineering, including branching strategy, CI/CD readiness, environments, code freezes, deployment windows, regression scope, and rollback plans.
  • Investigate production issues with engineering using logs, queries, and monitoring to understand root causes and drive corrective action.
  • Surface architecture, performance, scalability, security, and technical-debt risks early, including impacts and options.
  • Define, interpret, and use delivery metrics—including velocity, lead time, defect leakage, deployment frequency, and change failure rate—to forecast delivery, identify bottlenecks, and improve release quality.
  • Run Scrum ceremonies and maintain backlog health with Product Owners and engineering.
  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture decision records, and runbooks.
  • Translate technical status into clear, honest reporting for IT leadership and the Steering Committee.
  • Lead cutover, go-live, and hypercare for platform releases, including defect triage and root-cause follow-up.
  • Report status, risks, and issues early and plainly; escalate with options.
