General Shop Laborer 2nd Shift

About The Position
The General Shop Laborer supports daily production activities by safely performing hands-on manufacturing tasks, equipment setup, and general labor duties. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Shop Laborer for 2nd shift to support our plating operation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality.
- Must be safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be a U.S citizen.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in chem file process lines, manufacturing, or a related field
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
Responsibilities
- Assemble and surface finish according to specifications
- Read and interpret instructions, work orders, and blueprints
- Inspect completed work to ensure they meet quality and workmanship standards
- Operate hand tools and power equipment to remove excess metal and burs from workpieces.
- Clean, inspect, and maintain tools, machinery, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Assist with basic machine setup, attachment installation, and production support.
- Examine finished work to verify conformance to specifications.
- Follow standard operating procedures and all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate any injuries, unsafe acts, or equipment failures to the team lead immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and material usage as required.
