About The Position

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• An active security certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher, such as Security+; the description also states Security+ must be obtained within 14 days after the start date.
• An active DoD Secret clearance, required upon the start of employment.
• Ability to commute to Scott AFB, IL; Fort Meade, MD; the SATX DISA facility; or Ogden, UT for onsite/offsite hybrid support.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4–8 years of professional experience; alternatively, 2–6 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting technology infrastructure.
• At least 2 years of experience with APIs, JSON, and Python.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks.
• Ability to multitask and self-assign work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to support proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team.
• Potential and willingness to learn and adapt to rapid changes in technology.
• Openness to receiving mentoring from senior developers.

Nice To Haves

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
• Experience or familiarity with Agile development and testing methodology.
• Exposure to ServiceNow applications such as Telecommunication Management System (TSM), Telecommunications Network Inventory (TNI), and Order Management Telecommunications (OMT).
• Experience with JIRA, Git, and Confluence.
• Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certification.
• AWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with large software systems, including hardware integration and testing.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary technical development teams.
• Experience using SAFe as the Agile development methodology.
• Experience moving from a legacy application to a new application.

Responsibilities

• Support the standup, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules.
• Assist with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON files, and Python scripts.
• Create and maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, groups, and roles.
• Create, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports.
• Create and configure integrations between ServiceNow and tools such as Elastic, Netcool, and Kafka.
• Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades.
• Assist with the design, creation, and cataloging of business process flows.
• Work with the ServiceNow development team to propose solutions based on business needs and strategies.
• Design and configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational needs.
• Support business process re-engineering to move ticketing and order management capabilities into ServiceNow.
• Identify trends and patterns in unstructured and semi-structured customer data to improve customer experience and network performance.
• Interact with customers on Systems Engineering technical considerations, problems, issues, and conflicts.
• Develop, configure, and customize the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems, and orchestrate and automate tasks.
• Design and build ServiceNow applications and integrations to other applications and platforms, applying appropriate architecture, languages, best practices, and methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Support project progress and collaborate on new and enhanced development with engineers, developers, analysts, and other team members.
• Follow and maintain documentation best practices, policies, procedures, and processes throughout ServiceNow development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input for ServiceNow configuration, implementation, and support.
• Review and incorporate UI/UX requirements from internal and external teams into ServiceNow development.
• Use programming methodologies and languages, follow coding standards and procedures, and contribute to technical code documentation.
• Support data migration as needed.
• Design and implement solutions following Configuration Management policies and standards.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into a unified CMDB while maintaining data quality and integrity.
• Continue developing skills with guidance from senior developers.
